Chapter 10 - A NEW BEGINNING

Six months later.
The spring sun shone brightly over the magnificent estate garden, filling the air with the sweet scent of blooming white roses and fresh green grass. The dark clouds that had hung over the Moretti family for years had finally cleared away entirely.
The Bellini family faction had been completely dismantled, their territory absorbed into a peaceful, stable alliance governed strictly under Luca’s absolute authority. Michael Moretti’s name was never spoken in the house again.
Today, the grand ballroom was once again filled with guests. But it was nothing like the dark, tense party of six months ago.
There were no high-society fakes, no political schemers, no hidden envelopes tucked behind framed portraits. The room was decorated in brilliant white lace, fresh orchids, and gold ribbons.
Thirty-six true friends, loyal captains, and family members sat along the aisle, smiling warmly.
Standing at the front of the altar beside the priest was Luca Moretti.
He wore a tailored black tuxedo that made him look impossibly handsome. But the cold, ruthless shadow that had once dominated his dark eyes was gone, replaced by a radiant, deep happiness. Beside him stood his chief of security, Daniel, serving as his best man.
The organ music began to play—a soft, beautiful rendition of Canon in D.
The heavy wooden doors of the ballroom opened.
First came little Lily. She looked like a real-life fairy princess in a fluffy white dress, tossing pink rose petals onto the aisle, her face beaming with pure joy. Her stuffed rabbit, Barnaby, was wearing a tiny silk bow-tie to match the occasion.
And then, I stepped into the room.
I wore an exquisite, hand-embroidered white lace wedding gown with a long silk train that flowed behind me. My mother, Martha, walked proudly beside me, leaning gently on a polished wooden cane—her surgery and recovery fully completed, walking on her own two feet once again.
As my eyes met Luca’s across the long aisle, tears of overwhelming joy filled my eyes.
I remembered the girl who had entered this house eleven months ago—poor, frightened, desperate to save her mother, bleeding on the cold floor of this very room with a kitchen knife in her hands.
And now, I was walking down this same hall to claim a future filled with boundless love, safety, and joy.
Luca stepped down from the altar, reaching out to take my hand from my mother. His grip was strong, warm, and secure.
“You are the most beautiful vision I have ever seen,” Luca whispered softly, his dark eyes shining with tears as he looked down at me.
“I love you, Luca,” I whispered back.
“I love you, Hannah. With all my heart.”
The priest spoke the sacred words, uniting two worlds that had collided in blood and tragedy, now bound forever in pure, unyielding love.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the priest announced. “You may kiss the bride.”
Luca pulled me gently into his arms, dipping me back slightly as his lips met mine in a deep, passionate kiss. The guests erupted into cheers and applause. Lily jumped up and down beside us, throwing handfuls of rose petals into the air.

When Luca raised me back up, he took my hand in his left, and held Lily’s hand in his right.
Together, the three of us turned to face our future—a family unbroken, unyielding, and forever safe.
