Chapter 10 - THE PIERCE-CALLOWAY LEGACY

Three years later.

The grand ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in New York City was packed with over five hundred high-profile guests, world leaders, corporate titans, and international journalists.

It was the annual Global Logistics and Tech Leadership Gala—the most prestigious business event of the year.

At the head table, Declan Pierce sat proudly, wearing a crisp black tuxedo. Beside him sat Grace Pierce, stunning in a breathtaking emerald green off-the-shoulder gown that showed off her radiant beauty. Resting comfortably against Grace was four-year-old Leo, dressed in a adorable miniature tuxedo, excitedly eating a strawberry dessert.

The master of ceremonies stepped up to the podium on stage.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” the announcer echoed clearly through the massive hall. “Tonight, we honor a company that has completely revolutionized global supply chains, green shipping initiatives, and fair labor practices across forty countries. Please welcome the Co-CEOs of Pierce-Calloway Global—Declan and Grace Pierce!”

Thunderous applause erupted across the ballroom. The entire room stood up in a unified standing ovation.

Grace stood up, holding Declan’s hand. Together, they walked up the steps onto the grand stage, holding the heavy crystal Leader of the Year trophy together.

Grace stepped up to the microphone. The room fell completely silent, waiting for her words.

“Thank you,” Grace began, her voice smooth, confident, and commanding. “Four years ago, I stood at a crossroads. I was betrayed by someone I trusted, and my world felt entirely shattered. But I learned a vital truth: your value is not defined by the people who fail to appreciate you. Your strength is defined by how fiercely you stand up, rebuild, and demand what you deserve.”

She turned her gaze to Declan, her eyes shining with warmth.

“To my husband, Declan—thank you for showing me what true partnership, loyalty, and love really look like. And to our son, Leo—everything we build is for you.”

The crowd erupted into deafening applause once again.

As they walked off stage, Declan wrapped his arm tightly around Grace’s waist, pulling her close to his side.

“You dominated that stage, Mrs. Pierce,” Declan whispered playfully into her ear.

“We dominate it together, Mr. Pierce,” Grace replied with a brilliant, triumphant smile.
