Sunday mornings in our house had become sacred rituals—long, lazy breakfasts with freshly brewed coffee, homemade pancakes, and absolutely no rush to be anywhere.

Daniel and I sat on the back patio, the cool crisp air carrying the scent of burning firewood from a neighbor's chimney.

"It feels like a lifetime ago," I mused, gazing out at our thriving garden. "And yet, every piece of it shaped who I am today."

"You were always strong, Emily," Daniel said softly. "You just finally stopped letting other people define your worth."

My phone rested silently on the wooden table face down. No frantic calls from my mother. No angry voicemails from Lauren. No viral drama or media scandals. Just the quiet, beautiful hum of a life we built entirely on our own terms.
